Fashion retailers ASOS has published its latest Carbon Report

One of the world’s leading online fashion retailers, ASOS, has just published its latest Carbon Report, showcasing the 21 percent year-on-year reduction in operational CO2 emissions per order for its 2020 financial year, despite the number of orders increasing.  Emissions have now reduced 45% per order since 2015.

Moreover, the Report details a 13% reduction in total operational carbon emissions over the reporting period, emissions resulting from the running of its business such as offices, inbound stock, customer deliveries and returns.

These remarkable results can be credited to a number of ASOS initiatives, including, the transition to more localized fulfillment following the launch of ASOS’ Atlanta fulfillment centre, a switch to renewable energy for ¾ of ASOS’ global electricity consumption, prioritizing sea or road over air freight for inbound products, and further enhancing recycled plastic packaging.
