Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

The role of the Technology Consultant BI is responsible for the demand analysis, planning, delivery and maintenance of BI/analytic software solutions and systems. It is capable to support business with specific applications and provides expert advisory. The role analyzes BI/analytic systems of adidas and individualizes specific system solutions to meet the demand of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

Business analysis

  • Investigates operational/reporting needs and problems, and opportunities, contributing to the recommendation of improvements in automated and non-automated components of new or changed processes and organization.
  • Works with stakeholders, to identify potential benefits and available options for consideration, and defining acceptance tests.

Requirement definition and management

  • Defines and manages scoping, requirement definition andprioritization activities for changes and assists with more complex change initiatives.
  • Follows agreed standards, applying appropriate techniques to elicit and document detailed requirements.
  • Works with stakeholders, to identify potential benefits and available options for consideration, and in defining acceptance tests.
  • Prioritize requirements and documents traceability to source.
  • Review requirements for errors and omissions.
  • Provide input to the requirements base-line.
  • Investigate, manage and apply authorized requests for changes to base-lined requirements, in line with change management policy.

BI/analytics projects leadership

  • Lead the preparation & delivery of BI/analytic projects, including the processes of requirement definition, project planning, resource recruitment, and risk management.
  • Supervising faults, issue resolutions and retests to agreed standards.

BI/analytic solution support

  • Identifies and resolves issues with BI/analytic applications, following agreed procedures.
  • Uses application management software and tools to collect agreed performance statistics.
  • Carries out agreed applications maintenance tasks.

Vendor Resource Management:

  • Allocates the different work to the respective vendors considering experience, complexity, workload, and organizational efficiency
  • Continuously monitors and evaluates team workload and organizational efficiency with the support of BI systems, data and analysis and team feedback and makes appropriate changes to meet business needs.

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • Four-year college or university degree with focus on IT or related areas, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proficient spoken and written command of English
  • At least 3-year experience in BI delivery as business analyzer or project leader
  • 2 full-cycle project leadership experience in BI
  • Knowledge of data warehouse design or analytic tools
  • International team collaboration experience
  • Cross function working experience
