Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

Optimize & execute integrated purchasing and global supply planning in line with market requirements, supplier capabilities and company availability targets to best service global demand. Work across functions to solve planning and purchasing related issues, identify risks and opportunities and mitigate potential delays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute the buy decisions in line with the supply plan and respecting Market SLA’s
  • Execute order release of global demand to the supply base
  • Independently run business control process for relevant area; translate risks and opportunities into actions following business principles
  • Responsible for Supply Review with relevant Liaison Office (LO) to ensure optimized use of capacity, understand supply constraints, delivery performance development and ensure risk mitigation plans are in place
  • Support execution of level loading processes i.e. Make-to-Forecast (MTF), Pre-seasonal activities, Pull forward process (PF) etc.
  • Process ownership; responsible for documentation, testing and enhancement of a specific business process. Support implementation of projects within area of responsibility
  • Contribute to system & process improvements, aligning and prioritizing cross divisionally/cross brand where possible to enhance operational efficiency
  • Support development of management and operational reports

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Good understanding of supply chain principles
  • Strong team player and with proven ability to work cross functionally to achieve goals and objectives
  • Self-motivated and adaptable to dynamic operational environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Affinity with large data sets e.g. Reporting
  • Ability to effectively communicate and present information to different groups
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Good understanding of Planning software (e.g. ERP systems)
  • Fluent in English (written and oral)

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • College or university degree with a focus on Supply Chain or comparable experience
  • Preferably 1-2 years’ work experience in the consumer goods industry (with a focus on supply chain management, production or inventory planning)
